Bar Trend Widget for Parent Organisation

The Bar Trend Widget for Parent Organisation interface allows users to create a bar trend widget with advanced aggregation, graphing options, and color formatting. It enables users to visualize data distributions and track performance trends against statistical markers within a dedicated dashboard view.

Step 1

First, look at the top right corner of the interface. The View dropdown displays the pre-existing dashboard view inside which you are currently creating this widget. If needed, click the copy icon next to it to copy this View ID for sharing or reference.

Step 2

Provide an appropriate name under Widget Label, select a Widget Width, select a Widget Height, choose a Background Color, and select a Timeframe from their respective dropdown fields under Widget details.

Configure your presentation options under the formatting section. Choose a calculation method under Aggregation, choose a layout format under Default Graph Type, select your chart layout under Bar Mode, and input an appropriate name for the Y - Axis Label. You can also toggle the following functional visualization checkboxes if necessary:

  • Show Ideal Line : Displays a reference line highlighting optimal target values on the chart.

  • Show Total : Adds a cumulative total summary visualizer to the chart.

  • Show Average : Overlays an analytical baseline average line across your trend.

  • Show Contrast Color : Displays the chart bars in multiple contrasting colors instead of a single theme color.

Step 4

Scroll down to assign your data source. Depending on your needs, you can toggle the Param Equation switch at the top right corner of the section to choose between tracking direct device values or custom math formulas:

Option A: Standard Parameter Mapping (Param Equation Toggle OFF)

Give your parameter a custom name under Label, select a Workspace, choose a target Machine within that workspace, and choose the specific Params to track.

Click Add to save your selection to the parameter list table.

Option B: Equation-Based Mapping (Param Equation Toggle ON)

Give your custom calculation a name under Label, and choose your pre-configured mathematical rule under Equations.

Click Add to save your rule to the parameter list table.

Finally, click Create.
