Alarm History

The Alarm History card is the complete log of every alarm and warning event recorded for the drive. Each event captures the bit that changed, when it started, when it cleared, how long it lasted, and who acknowledged it.

Filters

Use the filter bar at the top of the card to narrow the event list:

Filter What it does
Word Type Show only events from a specific word register (Alarm Word, Warning Word, Maintenance, etc.)
Severity Filter by Info, Warning, Trip, or Triplock
Category Filter by the functional category of the alarm (see below)
Date range From / To date pickers to bound the time window

Click Clear to reset all filters at once.

Alarm categories

Each alarm event is automatically classified into a functional category based on its alarm code. This makes it easy to identify whether recurring issues are related to power supply, the motor itself, thermal loading, communication, and so on.

Category Typical alarms
Power Quality Mains phase loss, DC overvoltage / undervoltage, mains failure, 24 V supply low, live zero error
Motor Overcurrent, torque limit, motor ETR overtemperature, motor thermistor overtemperature, motor phase missing (U/V/W), inverter overloaded
Brake / Mechanical Brake resistor overload, brake resistor short-circuit, brake chopper fault, brake check failed, mechanical brake low
Thermal Power card overtemperature, control card overtemperature
Communication Control word timeout, fieldbus communication fault
Safety Short circuit, internal fault, safe stop activated, option configuration changed, drive initialized to default
Maintenance All Maintenance Word events
Other Events with no alarm code or an unmapped code

The category chip is shown on every row in the list and in the event detail panel.

List view

The default view. Each row shows:

  • Severity badge and category chip
  • Alarm name and alarm code
  • Start time (and end time if cleared)
  • Word type column
  • Duration column — shows Active in red for ongoing events

Click any row to open the Event Detail panel (see below).

Note

Up to 200 events are loaded per page. If the total exceeds 200, narrow the date range to see older or more specific events.

Timeline (Gantt) view

Switch to the timeline view using the bar-chart icon in the filter bar. Each alarm name becomes a horizontal row; bars represent individual event occurrences, colour-coded by severity:

Colour Severity
Blue Info
Amber Warning
Pink-red Trip
Dark red Triplock

Hover a bar to see the alarm name and start/end time. Click a bar to open the Event Detail panel.

Event Detail panel

Clicking any event (list row or Gantt bar) opens a slide-over panel with full event details:

  • Severity badge and category chip
  • Word type and bit position
  • Alarm code
  • Start / end time and duration
  • Acknowledgment status — who acknowledged it and when; or an Acknowledge button if not yet done
  • Raw word value at the time of the event (hex and decimal)
  • Analog snapshot — values of key analog parameters captured at the moment the alarm triggered (if available)
