Resources & Skills

A Resource is an employee or contractor available for shopfloor work. Skills form a shared catalog you can assign to resources to track who's qualified for what.

Accessing Resources

Open the Resource Management sidebar and select Resources, or Skills to manage the skill catalog.

Creating a Resource

Click New Resource and fill in:

Field Description
Name Required
Type Employee or Contractor
Agency Name Shown only for Contractors — the labour agency or vendor they're supplied through

The resource list shows each resource's name (click to open their detail page), type, agency (if a contractor), and any linked platform user account. Use the search box to filter by name or agency.

Resource details

Open a resource to see their linked user account, contract start/end dates, and ID proof reference, along with an editable form for their name, type, and agency name.

Assigning skills

From a resource's detail page, click Assign Skill and fill in:

Field Description
Skill Required — pick from the skill catalog
Proficiency Level Optional free text (e.g. "Beginner", "Expert")

Assigning a skill the resource already has updates their proficiency, certification, and expiry information rather than creating a duplicate entry. Each assigned skill is listed with its proficiency level, certification date, and expiry date, and can be removed with the row's Delete action.

The skill catalog

Open Skills to see every skill defined for your organisation. Click New Skill and provide:

Field Description
Name Required
Category Optional grouping (e.g. "Manufacturing")

Note

The skill catalog is shared and currently append-only — skills can be added here and assigned to resources from their detail page, but not renamed or removed once created.
