Widget View¶
Introduction¶
Widget View is a dashboard view type built from pre-configured report cards — banners, gauges, bar/pie charts, status tables, machine timelines, images, and more. Cards are added one at a time through an Add Widget flow: pick a widget type, then fill in a short form (parameter, machine, time range, colors, thresholds, and so on). Cards stack top to bottom in a simple grid, each sized quarter, third, half, three-quarter, or full width. An edit menu on each card lets you reconfigure or remove it later.
How this differs from Layout View
Widget View's cards are simpler, pre-configured report types that stack in a fixed order, rather than the freely dragged-and-resized canvas of Layout View. Use Widget View for a quick set of standard report cards; use Layout View when you want full control over card placement and size.

A complete walkthrough of every widget type is being written. In the meantime, use the Add Widget button on a Widget View page to explore the available card types.
