Batch Tracking & Process Metrics¶
The Batch Tracking feature lets you follow a production batch from start to finish as it moves through your manufacturing processes. For each process the batch passes through, you can see standardised metrics — temperatures, volumes, yields, and any other values your team has configured — aggregated across all lines and broken down per run.
How it works¶
When a line run is started, operators associate it with a batch ID. That same batch ID is used across every line that processes the batch, even when it splits across multiple parallel lines (for example, three fermentation tanks running simultaneously). Enture collects these line runs, groups them by process, and applies your process metric templates to compute consistent, comparable metrics for every batch.
Key concepts¶
| Concept | Description |
|---|---|
| Batch | A unit of production identified by a batch ID, spanning one or more processes |
| Process | A manufacturing stage (e.g. Mashing, Fermentation, Distillation) that one or more lines belong to |
| Line run | A single run of a production line for a specific batch |
| Process metric template | A set of named metric columns you configure per process, defining what is measured and how |
| Line param mapping | Links a template column to the specific input or output param name used on each line |
| Batch status | In Progress, Completed, or Aborted — set explicitly by operators |
