About Enture®

Enture® is an Industry 4.0 platform that connects plant-floor equipment, organises the data it produces, and makes that data available to applications for energy, production, maintenance and quality.

Platform architecture

Enture is built on three layers.

1. OT connectivity

Protocol-level connectors bring field devices onto the platform without custom driver work for each asset. Supported protocols include Modbus, OPC UA, MQTT, S7Comm, EtherNet/IP, BACnet and IEC 104. Devices include PLCs, VFDs, compressors, meters, DDC controllers and RTUs, among others.

See OT Connectors for the full list and setup details.

2. OT–IT integration (Edge)

Enture Edge OS turns industrial hardware into a secure IIoT gateway. Raw device data is contextualised, structured and buffered, and is made available as a common data model. Data can be processed locally on the plant floor and shared with enterprise IT systems.

3. Applications and intelligence

Enture Cloud delivers the applications that use this data:

All of them read the same contextualised data from the edge layer.

How the layers work together

The connectivity and application layers are separated by the edge layer. This allows Enture to be used in two ways:

  • As middleware, feeding data from plant equipment into applications you already run, such as ERP or SCADA.
  • As a full application stack, using the built-in energy, manufacturing and analytics applications.

You can start with one and add the other later without redesigning the connectivity. Adding a new compressor, VFD or PLC is a configuration task, not an integration project.

Key capabilities

  • ISA-95 aligned architecture. Provides a structured path between Level 0–2 OT systems, Level 3 plant operations and Level 4 enterprise IT.
  • Universal industrial connectivity. Connects PLCs, machines, sensors, meters, drives and SCADA across multiple protocols.
  • One data layer, many applications. Data is collected once and reused. A single machine parameter, energy meter value or production signal can feed OEE, Energy Management, maintenance, logbooks and AI at the same time.
  • Unified data model. Turns fragmented machine and OT data into structured, contextualised and reusable data.
  • Edge and cloud. The edge provides real-time processing and buffers data through network downtime, with automatic sync when the connection returns. The cloud provides centralised applications, analytics and enterprise visibility.
  • Hardware and OEM agnostic. Works with equipment from multiple manufacturers and reuses existing infrastructure.
  • Brownfield ready. Existing factories can be digitised without replacing installed OT equipment.
  • Enture AI. Applies AI and analytics to the unified data for anomaly detection, prediction, optimisation and decision support.
