Data Loggers

The Data Loggers tab lets you enter energy readings manually — for meters or measurement points where automated data collection is not available. Examples include sub-meters that are read monthly from a physical display, or temporary measurement points during maintenance.

Note

The Data Loggers tab only appears in the EMS sidebar once an engineer has mapped at least one data logger to EMS via Configuration → Data Loggers Setup.

Opening a data logger

Click any data logger card on the Data Loggers page. Each card shows the logger's name.

Writing a log entry

Once you open a data logger, a form shows the parameters you need to enter (for example, kWh reading, demand value).

Choosing between timestamped and daily data

  • Leave "Daily Data" unchecked — you enter both a date and a time. Use this when you have a specific meter reading at a known time of day (for example, a shift-end reading at 18:00).
  • Check "Daily Data" — you enter only a date. Use this for daily totals or end-of-day readings where the exact time is not meaningful.

Entering values

  1. Select the date (and time if required) using the calendar picker.
  2. Enter the numeric value for each parameter shown in the form.
  3. Click Write to save the entry.

A confirmation toast confirms a successful save.

Reviewing past entries

Below the entry form, the Check Logs section lets you retrieve previously entered data.

  1. Choose whether to view daily data or timestamped data using the checkbox.
  2. Select a From date and a To date.
  3. Click Fetch.

The results appear in a table showing the date/time and each parameter value. Use the rows-per-page selector to control how many entries are displayed, and the Previous / Next buttons to page through them.

Setting up data loggers for EMS

This is an engineer task. See Configuration → Data Loggers Setup for instructions on choosing which data loggers appear in the EMS sidebar.
